Well my prayers have been answered and one of my favorite movies is finally getting the DVD treatment...
however... no special features and its on a single disc???
does anyone else feel kinda jipped?

not only that... but they offer it in a box set which you get the soundtrack, a coffee table book, a senitype cell (still trying to figure out why its so special?) and a certificate of authenticity... and we need a certificate to prove its actually the DVD???
on top of that we get it in what looks like a plastic clear case... (which would look cool if it were glass!!) and voila!
$80.00!!!!

i think Seniro Speilbergo better get his head checked... thats just a very dissappointed DVD release in my mind...

anyone agree?

Are you sure there are absolutely no special features? The single disc is a DVD-18, which makes it the equivalent of a 2-disc set. I'm sure Spielberg has lined up good buddy Laurent Bouzereau to film some docs for this one. I still won't be buying it though.

well as of now they are saying "it appears to have no special features"...
and im guessing that if we get anything it will be an introduction by Spielberg like on Saving Private Ryan...
don't forget it is a 3 hour movie and im guessing he wants it to have the best picture and sound so that prolly another reason why he's restricting the whole disc to just the movie..

"Voices From the List" featurette
"Behind the Shoah Foundation With Steven Spielberg" featurette
Apparently it will also have the following audio tracks:
English (Dolby Digital 5.1), English (5.1 DTS ES), French (Dolby Digital 5.1), Spanish (Dolby Digital 5.1)
If it is dual sided/dual layer, there should be plenty of room on both sides for the movie and special features.
