1. The quality of media and of broadcasting improved between 1982 and 1994, so even an unwatched tape recorded in 1982 won't be as good quality as a comparable recording from 1994.
2. The Australian rip which Rikter released is from a very worn tape, and a 1994 recording would be in much better condition.
3. The Australian rip being in PAL will require additional tweaking - granted, such a tweak would be trivial for me, but I don't really like having to use digital slowdown to speed-correct a video. (I live in NTSC-land and my project for which I need the International Cut will also be NTSC)

Obviously a Restored International Cut (which is kind-of my objective) would need the best possible source
