That was funny as hell, and I'm from Alabama!

Just don't go thinking that the whole state is like that. The place where I live is quite nice and people from around my area definitely wouldn't act like those hick assholes.

Why you shouldn't home school your kids. Seriously why do people home school their kids?

One of the biggest reasons I have heard for parents homeschooling their kids was because they felt they could give their kids a better education than the public school system, and in a lot of cases, they are right. I really don't see that video as a reason why you shouldn't home school your kids, (however, I do see that video as a reason for not naming your child Evan. Kidding. Sorry), keep in mind he is thirteen years old and on public television and in front of a huge audience. While some people may do just find under such conditions, others don't, he seemed pretty nervous and didn't seem to know how to react to the jokes. Now, a few things the kid admitted to, such as not playing video games, and the whole piano recital thing shows signs of parents who push him too far. It is sad when parents cannot cope with the idea of a kid being a kid and decide he must be a miniture version of an adult. I admit, some home schooling parents do this, but I myself have known many kids who were homeschooled and homeschooling families, and have found most of them to be well balanced, resulting in kids who were well educated and also had very good social skills. There are homeschooling communities everywhere, if parents choose to participate in these, then their kids are receiving a good deal of socialization among other children.
