Adywan, it seems you're receiving a lot of feedback, both congratulatory and critical, regarding the Ben vs. Vader duel. I just wanted to say that I think you should do whatever you believe works best for the edit. While it's important to listen to people's feedback (so that you can gain a different perspective on different elements of your work), ultimately this is your edit and you should do whatever you think works. That being said, although some people don't like the addition of the Battle of the Heros score to the scene, I understand your reasons for adding it, and as with all comments made here, you should weigh both sides of the issue, and ultimately do what you think is best for the film. Personally, I agree with those that have said the music during the Han/Leia/Luke conversation should be omitted or toned down, but during the duel it does give the scene more drama, and it's fitting having the same musical motif from their last duel together replayed here.

One thing I think we should all try to remember is that this is an improved version of the Special Edition; it's not an attempt at simply fixing the OUT. I therefore think that this is the perfect forum in which to play around with the film a little and have some fun with it, as long as the changes being made are done so conscienciously and not just "for the hell of it."

For those concerned about keeping the original film intact, we have a plethora of fan LD transfers out there, as well as the upcoming X0 project. So I say have some fun with this edit. Personally, while I'll always treasure the original version of Star Wars over any special edition, I'm very much looking forward to this release, as it looks to me to be the Special Edition we should have had all along.

Keep up the great work Ady.
