Really a lot of this stuff is fairly well known to any fan who was alive in 1977 but sadly those people account for a small, marginalised fraction of the fanbase, and one that shrinks by the year--soon they will be all gone and all we will be left with is these types of history books, so i guess it is good that one is written sooner rather than later for the sake of accuracy. But it seemed that i was spending a lot of time on the internet discussing the history of the series and presenting this information to people who seemed completely oblivious of it and why not just spend all that writing time and put it into a book. 2005 was a slow year for me, anyway
