not to mention that a high percentage of people are lazy and apathetic. Fixing things would be a lot of work, and really what can one person do (their attitude not mine), its easier when you come home from a hard day at your under paid job to sit down and turn on the TV and watch Paris Hilton milk a cow then it is to go out and protest in the cold against the president.

Its easier to ignore the problems of people far away then it is to care about them.

ANd for many people, the lies that bush and others in power propagate are much more appealing to believe the cold hard truth that the world is a run away train right now, careening out of control. We've got comfy seats and we're well sediated so we don't notice, but we'll feel the impact eventually.

If the human race is still around in 40 years I'm going to be extremely surprised. Relieved, but surprised.
