I will say something about growing up in the late 70's/early 80's, movies were much more upbeat and there were always characters to root for to in the fantasy/scifi/action genre. Think of movies like Star Wars, Superman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T., and Back to the Future, all had the ultimate 'good guy' characters to root for, and the stories were still written for adults which children could enjoy, but they didn't send out this political message or blur the lines between good and evil, those movies were black and white, and the lines were drawn from the first minute of the film. With films like The Matrix, and the PT, and other movies today from that genre, I think times have changed, and it aint about nostalgia for me, but I am so glad I grew up during the OT days, cause those movies are better.
