Good luck man. Your video really is the best, I watched a number of them and they are all pretty lame, yours is on a whole other level from any others I watched.

Well, I forsee two possibilities:

1. He hasn't been back here in the past few days because he lost and is too depressed/embarrassed to tell us for a few days.

OR

2. He hasn't been back here in the past few days because he won and is too excited and too busy getting his trip together that he hasn't had time to tell us yet!

I certainly hope it's the latter.

I think when I was reading about how the voting worked, I read that the result would not be in for quite a while, but I don't feel like digging back through all the links greencapt posted to verify that.


Okay, I found it, April 17th the winner will be announced.

Well Gaffer and all, I'd *like* to be able to post great news, or even admit *bad* news, but I'm stuck on the edge of the bad-news cliff right now and there hasn't been a phone handy. What am I blathering about?

Disney started emailing the winners yesterday and it appears *most* have been notified. I have not. BUT there is still one winner in the pirate category that either hasn't come forth OR hasn't been decided on yet. Talk about taking things to the last second!! So I'm basically resigned NOT to have won but still have a slim hope that its *possible*. And then again someone might not get the voluminous stack of legal paperwork turned in on time and get disqualified.

And I'm sorry, but I just have a huge giggle seeing a pirate (picturing the image you've shown) shuffling through paperwork while sitting at his desk.

Gaff, heh... I think its only like four sheets of disclaimers plus measurements for costumes but it all will have to get notarized and mailed back to Disney by the 16th.

Yeah, the ferret part was my favorite part, although I think I already mentioned that. But anyway, a friend of mine has a deaf ferret named Sora, and he's a lot of fun.

Sorry to hear things aren't looking too good towards being a winner. If it makes any difference I think you should have won hands down. Maybe the greatness that was your video is what is hanging them up? Perhaps they are having a challenge in decided between your for the sake of a great video and another Jack Sparrow wannabe for the sake of Disney character placement. I fail to see the originality there, if I am not mistaken that was one of the criteria the judges were suppose to be looking at.

C3PX... thank you! And though I agree about the originality thing I'm not going to begrudge any of the winners. Are far as I know all the contestants are unaware of what the judge's and voting scores are so who knows which way it went. A free vacation would have been nice (and still would ) but as they say in France- "Run aaawaaaaaayyyy!!!!!" Oh wait... I mean "c'est la vie!"
