Yeah, that would be great. I hate that they had Superman and Lois sleep together in Superman II. It's just not Superman. This edit would allow for that to be fixed up.

But even beyond that, now that they've made him Superman's kid, they have to deal with him in future Superman movies. I don't usually have a problem with kids in movies, but we've now had five Superman movies starting with Reeve, and only one villain from the comic books..

I agree on the sleeping together thing. Its not like Superman.
But wasn't General Zod in the comics? I know he is now, but wasn't he in the comics before too? Maybe not, but I thought he was.
I've heard that Superman III was originally going to have Brainiac instead of the "ultimate computer" why couldn't they of done that?
But anyway, good luck with this edit. 'Superkid' really did alot to ruin Superman Returns for me, and having him not be superman's kid would be great.
