I just had a chance to start watching this myself this past weekend. Even though I haven't finished watching it yet (taking care of a newborn and all), I'd have to echo andy's review. Anytime there's to much black on the screen, it looks like shiat. Brighter scenes seem to look ok, but I am by no means a videophile. I have a 50" HDTV, so when scenes look really bad, I notice. Minor stuff I don't notice so much (I'm about 15' from the screen).

Personally, I think I'd attribute most of this to the GOUT. I think OCP tried to salvage something that, IMO, isn't salvageable. Some scenes look fantastic and it's probably because they're from the 2004 DVDs. But other scenes look downright nasty.

One thing that I love about this disc is the sound though. I don't know what other sets have had this mix, but I'm 99% positive that I've never heard that voice from Beru's mouth. When she started to speak, I stared straight at the screen in disbelief. Does anyone know if this mix was ever released on VHS or Laserdisc (I only have the Definitive Collection set)? I also honestly haven't watched all the VHS releases I have, so I may have it and just not know it.
