I don't know why everybody thinks that people who believe in the evolution theory think humans have apes as ancestors. No scientist believes that. According to science man and ape have a common ancestor and they evolved simultaniously. That ancestor is NOT an ape. So going to the zoo, watching apes and saying: "and we are supposed to believe we come from that?" is ridiculous.
Also, the gradual change in the evolution of humans is quite well visible in the fossil records.
