Nintendo is doing extremely well this time around. The Wii's user base is growing to the point where it will be large enough to ensure its long term success even if its new controller ultimately fails. However, I think the controller is great and probably won't fail. Really, its only problem is how the it has no killer application to make it necessary for gameplay yet. At the moment it's mostly just fun to swing around and mimic real-world actions with. I want to see new ways to control a game that are so intuitive and superior that I won't want to use any other kind of interface.
