Yeah, I always forget about aquaman. He's that superhero nobody cares about. But he is DC not Marvel. Anybody see the robot chicken sketch where they had a super hero big brother reality show? Everyone kept picking on aquaman because he didn't have any real super powers. It was pretty funny.


I like the episode of South Park called "The Super Best Friends" better, with the hero called Sea-Man that all the other heroes call Semen. LOL...that ep ruled. It's the one with the Blaine-tologists.

Forgive me. Actually when I was a kid my aquaman action figure was my favorite one, mostly because all the other superheros had brown hair and having blond hair myself made me feel inferior. Like I could never be as cool as Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne. Then I discovered Aquaman.

What I meant by nobody cares about him is that he seems extremely under looked. I mean we even get a Catwoman movie and a movie about Steal (you know the superman incarnation or whatever he was) before we get a Aquaman movie.

One problem with Aquaman right now is that DC took the version of Aquaman we've been reading about since 1985 and randomly turned him into a crazy old man and replaced him with a young newbie.

Now I'm up to Volume 6 of Sandman, Volume 5 of Fables (yes, I finally took the leap and I'm never looking back!), and Volume 4 of Doom Patrol (great late 80s series by the sultan of strange, Grant Morrison).

EDIT: Oh, and I recently finished reading Kurt Busiek's run on Aquaman. It was great, sucks that he's handing over the reins, though.

Silver surfer is the only superhero I really like. Beyond awesome. I happen to think most other super heroes are incredibly lame hehe.

Eh, Silversufer is pretty lame IMHO. Being as you think superheros are lame, I think it is funny you post in the Comic Fans section because after your comment I will have to assume you are not one. But the rest of us are, so I don't see the point in your comment. I am willing to bet the only thing you know about Silversurfer is the advert. for the second Fantastic Four film. Anyway, Spidey could whip his butt anyday. Surfer is just an illegal alien trying to make a name for himself.

Eh, Silversufer is pretty lame IMHO. Being as you think superheros are lame, I think it is funny you post in the Comic Fans section because after your comment I will have to assume you are not one. But the rest of us are, so I don't see the point in your comment. I am willing to bet the only thing you know about Silversurfer is the advert. for the second Fantastic Four film. Bet all you want, but i've read quite a lot of silver surfer comics. My dad still has a whole bunch of 'em and that's how i got to read 'em.

Okay okay, some others are alright too, I quite liked the hulk. I'm more of a tales from the crypt/weird science/ moebius/Paul Gillon/sci fi comic kinda reader. And i still like to read a all the heavy metal magazines from the late 70s, early 80S. Some awesome sci from spain and holland.

edit: and spiderman is a wuss and im leaving this thread now since u guys are pretty serious hardcore crew lol

I wasn't trying to run you off. Just get annoyed with people who come into threads to start fights. Hopefully that was not your intent, you can forgive me for mistaking "most other super heros are incredibly lame " as having that intention.

Feel free to stick around, you are perfectly welcome in this thread, we are not a serious hardcore crew and we respect others opionions, we at this site as a whole are just a little troll weary. You can understand that I am sure, the internet swarms with them these days.

So who's reading what these days? I'm so far behind it's ridiculous (so no 52 spoilers PLEASE!). I'm still in the early 40's on that one. Everyone looking forward to Countdown? Or is everyone pissed off that there's another 4 books a month they have to buy?
