Well i was going to say something but at first i thought you were joking? Why use the GOUT with all its flaws when you would be better off using the 2004 DVDs?. All you need to so is apply some form of colour correction and you have a much higher quality source to use as a base. If you are serious about doing an edit like this then you will have to learn a lot of fx techniques to do it and once you have learned those then removing any SE element will be easier, and much better looking, than using the GOUT. For one the GOUT isn't anamorphic and has horrible vertical jaggies and a lot of other horrible issues that, if you use this for your edit, you will have put a lot of time an effort to produce something that will be sub-DVD quality, and and FX work that you will be adding will jump out because of the difference in picture quality (and in the end it will cause you much more work to do to try and blend the FX work into the GOUT picture).

You say that you are going to make the creatures in Jabbas Palace blink and have facial movements? Well this is one main reason to forget the GOUT because you need a much higher resolution & clarity source to be able to pull this off. Also you say that you are keeping the Sarlac beak in. Then you can't use the GOUT for that. And adding in sections where the beak is present will stick out like a sore thumb.

I say use the 2004 DVDs. even with all the colour correcting and de-SEing you will save a lot of time and effort and it will produce a much higher quality result.
