Firstly,

Erik, I received my discs earlier this week. THANK YOU. You Rock. This is the first chance I've had this week to express my gratitude to you.

Secondly.

Yes, these Special Features discs really are as good as everyone else here has been saying they are.

The menus are really really nice.

I've scanned through the content and the transfers are nice and clean. As Andy said, the trailers being in one place is good.

I haven't gone looking for the easter eggs yet. Oh, and the cover art is good too.

EditDroid team - WOW. You guys did a fantastic job.

And as promised, I'm now offering 3 sets as PIFs to anyone in the US who can PIF them onward. I will also throw in the Editdroid trilogy as well if you need it. I'm not sure whats on those - if its the mono mix or not. I had originally got them from MySpleen, and as that site is down right now, I can't check the details.

Let me know (PM) if you would like a set, and I'll post your details here so people know who to contact for the next stage of the PIF chain.

It may take me the better part of 10 days to get the sets together as I process the discs around the rest of my life, but you will get them.

Also, do they have their sights set on a third project?


I asked but they are usually pretty secretive about their projects. Time will tell, I suppose.

I've received this set as well and have watched some of it and I must say that I'm impressed. Incredible job, Editdroid team! It has a great set of features.
I've made copies of this for Ghost Alpha and Dark Jedi, and am sending them out tomorrow. I have one more set of these to send out if anyone is interested.
Dark Jedi, you have a PM. I need to know where to send your discs.

Did anyone else have a problem with their discs? My computer doesn't seem to recognize Disc 1 at all, and whenever I pop in Disc 4 I get an error message about a program failure (SWVinyl.exe or something like that) -- I haven't tried it with autorun turned off yet. I'll try them again later after a reboot.

Disc 4 has a bonus "Virtual record player" that plays the Story of... albums. It will play fine on a DVD player, but the record player should be what boots up when you load disc 4 into your compy.

Just got the discs today. Oddly enough the ons I receive tend to not get along with my main player but plays fine in my other one. I burned a copy at slow speed and they play fie in the main one. Go figure. It's always been a little fickle. And like others have said, the menues are amazing. Official discs should be like these.

I've attempted to take the cover art and make it fit to a regular size case, the kind that holds 4 discs with a 2 disc flipper in the center.

But I'm afraid it just doesn't look as good as Klockwerk's

I'll take that as a compliment, Harlock.

I guess I could make mine available? Although I thought I read that someone else had done similar to my version. In any case, I'd want a hi-res version of the image on the back cover there before I make mine available. The one I have is quite low-quality and I can't seem to find the hi-res version I thought I had.

Some folks have been having difficulty recreating these covers, so I thought I'd just post the originals here.

The art for the Special Features set includes the outer wrap, a single-width version of the wrap, and all four disc labels.

The art the ANH v1 DVD includes the outer wrap, disc label and chapter insert.

I think the artwork package should be uploaded to Rapidshare, or what have you, in full. Don't let us non-newsgroups folks miss out.
