so i just saw 300, it O.K., nothing special and seriously fucking OVER_HYPED, wtf is wrong with all you kiddies thinking it's "epic", you wouldn't know epic from a hole in the wall (which has a dick sticking out of it that you just sucked)

I think this movie kicked ass. If the reason you didn't like it is because it had no depth then you are so wrong. The last scene of the movie is one of the most inspiring scenes I have ever seen in a movie.

This is the part where I get really confused.

Meh the 2nd one was copypasta is it so surprising I have friends?

No it isn't surprising you have friends. LoL. Just one post it was awesome and the very next it sucked and was over hyped. I was momentarily confused, but I think I am okay now.

But based on Marvolo's last post and your reply, this film very well may have me shitting bricks. I am always in the mood for cleansing my bowels of bricks, might have to see this.

Yeah, you should definitely see it. That last scene made me want to stand up, scream Hooah!!, and start fighting those damn persians myself. I have never been so moved or inspired by a movie. The film truly is something else. The entire time I was watching it, I felt like I was standing there on the battlefield, not sitting in a chair watching a movie. It was crazyiness!!

It was really good. Visually gripping and almost identical to the graphic novel.

Yeah, there wasn't much plot, but having read the GN back in 1998 when it was released, wow, was the film ever true to form

Yeah, I loved the look of the flick. Just perfect in that regard. In every other regard, it was the silliest and most ridiculous film I've seen in a long time. And it was a goddamn blast.

You think? The backgrounds and battles looked wonderful and stylistically perfect, but the elephants and the rhino went past that and just looked like cartoons that didn't mesh with their surroundings. The wolf also looked like a cartoon, but again, that was stylized in such a way that it's excusable.

This film was suppossed to look like you were watching it from an ancient greeks standpoint. Greek mythology and tales all had fantastical beasts and exagerations in them, so I can excuse these flaws.

Just saw it. Great flick. Wonderfully violent. $70 some million at the box office I hear. Gerard Butler looks more Supermanish with that physique than Brandon Routh does.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

I thought it was good some amazing scenes and crazy looking decapitations.

I thought the end was great, he made him know he was mortal and now he had to live with it

I saw it Sunday afternoon, and I think it was phenomenal. Definately the best movie of the year so far. The battles were great, and so were the visuals. It really should win some Oscars for its visual effects. The story and acting was also great, especially the dialouge and narration. Of Course, this is to be expected, coming from a comic by Frank Miller. He writes the best dialouge. I think its great that directors are now doing movies that hardly alter Miller's work. That's how you make a great movie. Despite Miller not co-directing 300, I think it was easily on par with Sin City, possibly even better.

Its a battle, that's why there was a lot of blood. When someone gets stabbed by five spears there is going to be alot of blood. Also, when you take sharp sword and cut somone across the stomach multiple times there is going to be blood. Anyone that knows what this film is about and why it is rated R should know there is going to be extreme gore. To take that blood out would have stripped the film of its realism.

No Im not objected to blood in warfare, but the film kinda exaggerated the spilling of blood, maybe to give it a more comic book edge

Whoa. That WAS an awesome movie. But now that I have seen it I can laugh even more at Marvolo's "stripping the film of its realism" comment (I am not getting on you man, I now what you meant). I think the style they did the blood fit the style of the film very well. It does feel like watching a comic book. But it hardly looks like real blood. It is very clearly CG, so I don't feel it makes the film seem more realistic by any means (really reminds me of Star Trek VI ), but what it does do it does well.
