I remember first seeing part of that clip back at Celebration 3. I don't know if it's on the DVD, but at the same panel (which was some ILM computer animator guys) they showed some other ones including a clip of Palpatine playing an organ. It was roughly the same shot of him shooting lightning at Yoda, but they put the keyboard under his hands and it looked pretty funny.
