Yeah - I mean, I know everyone is different with what they prefer. I've heard American Indian, Indigenous American, Amerindian, etc. "American" would be the most fair, but then everyone would think we're talking about John Q. Public, Citizen Of The United States. Oh well. By tribe is probably the best way, but then it is still ignoring the whole continental culture. I don't know. But, anyway, I'm in the least position to make any value judgements one way or the other about which label is best - and, in the end, race is just a label.
