ha ha ah, yes. Thanks, nice to know someone else thought that old sig of mine was a hoot. I decided to change it for whatever reason that I can't remember. The part about not tryin to lose my head I quoted from that Happy feet movie after seeing it.
Heh, now I think it perfectly describes being a star wars fan, and of course this essay couldn't be more right about all our frustrations with george lucas. If one thing's for sure, no matter what kind of star wars fan you are, it's agreeable that Lucas has been showing a disreputable lack of respect for us people who have spent years worshiping him. So I consider myself divorced from lucas now. Yeah, I gave him three chances and he's consistently proven he's not in this for producing high quality films anymore. And as you may know, (because I've read it myself and it brings vomit to my throat) some out there in the web want to promote the belief that original trilogy fans are blinded by nostalgia. I admit that's true of return of the jedi, but even that film maintained a level of competence I didn't see in the newer batch, ewoks be damned. It's so true today. we hate star wars. We hate it. We hate it so much. I hate boba's new voice, hate the removal of shaw, hate all this bullshit Lucas is trying to force on us. But fuck I love the general idea star wars so much it kills me that this genius, lucas, has fooled people into believing he's a genius and can do whatever he wants with these movies, and STILL have the tonics of the web praise him. That's life, I guess...
