to me as a star wars fan KOTOR III is a thousand times more preferable to HALO 3, being of course that i like rpg better than fps.
George Lucas wrote the script and story for the force unleashed as well as the new indiana jones next gen game, and is personally overseeing and approving things. does this make any one else suspicious of the quality?
I know the animation with be tops it's lucasarts, ilm etc. but we know what happened on the prequels. i also have a great deal of trepidation and doubt over indiana jones IV and the 3d star wars cartoon and live action series. I also don't like where the EU is heading in the books and comics, they have way too much connection to the darkness of the prequels and are nothing like the real original star wars.
this game is just another way for lucas to crap all over the originals and also the original EU continuity. Vader had no need for an apprentice as he was focusing his energy on exterminating the rest of the jedi. Plus his desire was to has his son as his apprentice not some joe schmo character lucas cooked up after the prequels. Yeah i know, supposedly he did not know about luke's existance at this point.
there were many imperial agents vader could use for information. he was powerfull enough to do his own dirty work unlike the emperor he was the physical embodyment of the evil empire. even as mostly machine he was more than a match for the rebels. or any jedi. the only threat to him would be his own offspring.
this game will also be considered canon as lucas came up with it, and may even factor into the live action tv series.
this may be the first time a piece of the EU is considered to be canon, rather than professional fan fiction.
the Kyle katarn saga was one of my favorites of the EU. i would like for there to be some novels or even comics fleshing out this part of the sw universe. The star wars tales piece was awesome, set during the NJO. i also liked him being included in the NJO order series even just as an aside to the fans. similar to how Zahn put Stacy from Pink Five in Allegiance without even mentioning her name.
