I need help converting a Matroska file to MPEG-2.

Can someone help me convert a Matroska file ( MKV ) to MPEG-2 without losing any quality? Any help would be great!

Ever heard about VirtualDubMod and/or AviSynth ?
I would recomend to open a mkv in VDM, export it to uncompressed avi, create an AVS script with that avi and your favorite filters, and put the avs script to an mpeg encoder
