Wow, this is serious Giger stuff! I have all 3 LD's on VHS but they are second or third generation, this would the perfect upgrade (but i do not have that kind of money lying around

Hey,

#3 is in the safe hands of Jonno. We're nearly there in terms of collating all of the new info. I know Jonno has got new material from RIJIR, though I'm not sure about any triffid material.

Hey fellas!

Alien Appendix 3 is indeed on the way. I'm having a slightly frenetic week work-wise (anyone else at the Video Forum show at Earl's Court this week - working or visiting?) but expect a proper release thread to be opened at the weekend. This one's going to be a goodie!

(Jambe - unless they're on their way from MM, I can easily hook you up with parts 1 and 2 - least I can do for RTJ! Let me know...)

Something that I have been searching for was that old TV show hosted by Tom Bosley (Happy Days) called "That's Hollywood". Alien was featured on that show numerous times. But I have never found anyone with a copy on DVD, VHS or Beta of that show.

I know I already posted this in the other thread, but if you're looking for a text supplement for Alien 3, these two articles might be interesting reading. It's fascinating stuff.

The articles are:

"Mother From Another Planet" (from "The Insider's Guide To DVD")

This article was taken from the Insider's Guide To DVD book that was released in 2003. (Again, if someone is already posting this on one of the discs, and it's redundant, I'll remove this link), and examines the difficulty in shooting Alien 3. It was posted verbatim, save for one section regarding differences between all the script, but otherwise, the article's complete. It has interviews with David Fincher and Ezra Swerdlow.

Interviews with Richard Edlund (SFX Supervisor) on making of film, George Gibbs on the EEV Crash and Superfacehugger, Alec Gillis on the autopsy scene, and Fincher on what he wanted from the film

This piece is four different articles related to the production and editing of the film. I don't know if these are part of the Cinefex magazine articles, though.

At least it's something.

Big thanks to Jonno for the appendix discs 1 and 2. I watched the Mark Kermode doco this morning and loved it. Even if he is a Star Wars hater! I usually watch his things - Edge of Blade Runner and the recent Spielbeg Culture Show etc, but I had missed this one. Great discs, really looking forward to number 3!

Oh don't worry, there's more!

But the schedule's a bit hazy until I can draw up some firm plans with meedermow. One or other of us will report in when we've come to some sort of conclusion...
