), the shot you mention does not exist.As far as I know the idea of killing off one of the main cast was abandoned before any shooting was done and definately before any effects work was completed. Even the early animatic (see 'Returning to Jedi' at 02:17:35) shows the Falcon speeding away from the Death Star.
