They are viewable now kaine. The empire and jedi ones are from vongs original kenner cover set. He redone them a while back and that set is where the new hope cover is from wich is part of this set:

If anyone wants to use the Darthvong dvd designs I uploaded to my photobucket they're welcome to. I added them to the dvd covers files I've already have. Downloaded the 1st sw dvd cover archive sometime ago from myspleen and been adding to it on occasion with other covers I come across over time.

Anyone know if Riktor is still compiling more covers for a new version of his dvd covers archive? I've got a number of them I've collected over time from here and other sources I thought I'd share with him for his next collection.

This is my first go at a cover. But since I got my DVD Recorder and VCR combo, I've transfered this PBS special from tape to disc.

I'm kinda hesitant to put too much on the back of it since the artwork is so nice.
There's good in the Original Trilogy, and it's worth fighting for.

JD you should have! Rikter released it as BLAK0042. It's a PBS special. Granted I don't have it... but I'm going to use this cover when I do (or some variation of it).

Rikter released it? My copy is a transfer from the VHS that I got from the original broadcast.

Does anyone have the raw pictures that are used in Darth Solo's manga covers? I have the covers, which are great, but I was wondering if a nice version minus the Star Wars logos exists.

These are awesome - I really appreciate your help. Looking back, you've gotten quite a few requests for these. Where did you track them down from? Thanks again!

Cant recall where from exactly, they originally were japanise book covers i think, and they had japanise text on them (there was other covers in the same style but they had images from the expanded universe on them, therefore i've never done anything else with them). I removed the text by cloning it out which was a major pain in the arse as the text was so big. I also cloned out the beak on the sarlac to make them OT rather than SE. Those were like my first covers here. Glad to help out.

Yeah, I remember you talking about that earlier, I think, especially with the Sarlaac - you did a fine job - it's not even noticeable. How long did it take?

They're neat paintings stylistically, too. They are divided into sections/halves that contain scenes/characters from a particular settings in each movie. (For example, ROTJ is split between Jabba/Sarlaac and Endor/Death Star).

The sarlaac had 2 drafts which took about half a day to get it right. The text took me around a week on and off to do the 3.

After thinking about it, i had a look around and recalled that they came from TF.n. Theres a thread covering how great japanise covers look compaired with american artwork. Theres not much left of it now but you can look at http://boards.theforce.net/literature/b10003/11299496/p1.
