THE MAKING OF JEDI MONSTERS - CHICON IV - 11 Minute Video

Ok, well we've had the news that there's another TESB doco out there, I have just found out there is another Jedi one!

I have just had word that an eleven minute doco exists that was made specifically for CHICON IV in 1982. Lucasfilm Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sidney Ganis along with Producer Howard Kazanjian showed it to the convention audience as part of an hour long 'REVENGE of the Jedi presentation'.

I also hear that it was shown again at Celebration 3. Did anyone here see it?

Does anyone have any further information on this?

Thanks
JD

So that's a 'no' then?

All of this is mentioned in Issue no.18 of Bantha Tracks by the way.

It's crossed my mind. But Lucafilm haven't been very forthcoming with vintage goodies of late.

We all know that while we may get more than the supplementals contained in the 2004 DVD boxset, the 30th Anniversary Collection will most likely be a great letdown for many of us. There's just so much great stuff from way back and Lucasfilm couldn't even pack it all in to a boxset if they wanted to. I'd like to see some uber collection with as much supplemental material (vintage and recent) as possible, but the companies don't care about these films as much as we do unfortunately.

However, if by some strange twist of fate there ends up being something like a 24-disc set with all the bells and whistles they can find.... well, I'll be ecstatic and may just eat my hat.

I would love to be wrong about this, but I'm afraid that I have to agree with Klokwerk. I don't see the 30th anniversary boxset having any of the vintage documentaries. Lucas hasn't released any of those on DVD, and I don't see it happening anytime soon. But I'd love to be wrong and have them all released.

As for this documentary, I'd love to see it as well. Hopefully these lost documentaries will surface someday.
