Just picked up the Wii Classic Controller and downloaded LOZ and LOZ: ALTTP, two games which I am ashamed to say I never finished.

Holy crap my heart just stopped beating.

Oh, tell me about it! I finished Zelda II back in the day, Link's Awakening, OOT (several times), Wind Waker, Minish Cap and the Oracle games, but I never owned LOZ or played it for more than an hour, and never owned LTTP...how could I go for so long without playing those?

As an aside, what is everyone's thoughts on Nintendo's shoddy emulation of certain games on the VC?

Two games have been criticized for not being 100% accurate, namely Kid Icarus (different cheat codes) and Mario Kart 64 (no Ghosts). Personally, I feel that a game should be exactly the same as the original, flaws, bugs etc. and all. When there are too many enemies on the screen in an NES game, I want to see the same slowdown I saw back in the 80's. It really bothers me some games aren't perfectly emulated, and others will be altered - namely Ocarina of Time.

Now, I'm not sure if anyone has played OOT on the Wii yet, as I think it only came out in Japan thus far, but I'm guessing it is the politically correct version with the altered Gerudo symbol and Muslim prayer chant gone, plus Ganon's green blood...I guess I'm a bit of a purist and like to play games the way they always were when I first played them - which is why I still have most of my old systems hooked up...
