Thanks for the info, though I have used IfoEdit in the past it was following instructions. I'm not confident enough to just dive in (yet).
Burning DL dvds on my older LG (supposedly a DL burner) drive and setting book type to DVD-ROM gave me two coasters.
Switching to a new Pioneer drive (can't set book type on this) gave me a nice playable DL dvd first time. Phew !
So, the story is, torrent the DL PAL version - apply patch (from page 1) - create .iso (pgcEdit) - burn .iso (ImgBurn) WITH A DECENT MODERN DRIVE !!
