I've believed for a long time that 2K Pro is the best commercially available OS without question. We're still mostly 2K Pro where I work (still have some low-end workstations) and it fits the bill nicely. The only thing about it is the forced compatibility issues, like IE7. Won't work on it. Problems like that will get bigger going forward and IE7 becomes a requirement.
