I think the main reason pay for these things is because they aren't tech savvy enought to get it for themselves, or, like me, they don't have access to a DVD burner to make their own copy. I'm practically begging shamelessly for a copy and getting no response, so I can understand the frustration of folks who are eager to see this but have no other way to get it than to buy it from a soulless scalper.

Always volunteer to help pif one of the RtJ conversions.

I would think it would be kind of difficult to Pay It Forward without a DVD burner, though, wouldn't it? Just to be fair.

what he means is offer to pay for shipping to someone who has a burner and would kindly mail you a disc.

Well, that makes more sense. So Pay It Backwards, I guess.

Thanks! That totally fixed it. I'm dumb.

Cool. You'd be surprised how many people I went to hang out and watch a movie with, and they had their DVD player set to 16:9 when they had a 4:3 TV. They had honestly been watching movies smooshed for however long until I set it properly. ::shudder::

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

I have reported them. I hope you will do the same.

Did that before work today.

The producer has directed me to http://mancow.com/. I think it's the 'morning madhouse show'.

What do you guys think? Is it a well known show?

We used to be able hear him in Detroit here too. If I recall, he, or someone on his show, is a big Star Wars fan.

As for the NTSC torrent, I see 2 or 3 different versions (judging by the size). How do I know which is the right one? Plus, it looks like it could take me a week or two to get the whole thing.

I don't recall anyone else making a transfer, so what you find is the same movie, but on 4 torrent sites.
They all use the same tracker, so it is only one.

I can't see this happening now or anytime soon but is the DL PAL torrent going to be replaced at some point with one that has all the files corrected? I know there's a link to the files to correct the original problem, but I can't see a lot of people keeping their original files in place once they've got it and have applied the fix. I know I certainly don't have enough space to keep this around on my hard drive (already burned it to a DL disc).

Jambe, it looks terrific so far! The root menu "Returning to Jedi" seems to shake in WMP 11 (it's fine with VLC so I'm sure it has something to do with WMP 11). I'll write a better review later this weekend. I just haven't had enough time to sit and watch the whole thing yet.

Did you ever finish the spanning cover for RTJ? I have the standalone one only as far as I can tell. Hese would truly look impressive as a set, especially after the NTSC conversions.
There's good in the Original Trilogy, and it's worth fighting for.

TR-47 who was banned from these boards is selling copies of this.

He is also selling copies of dark jedi's monster squad and digitalfreaknyc's indiana jones documetaries.

As well as deleted magic and buidling empire and other star wars stuff right off these boards.

How to put a stop to this?

I recently saw OCPmovie over at another forum under another name selling copies of just about everything we have created on here. He is charging well over the odds too. Such a shame this has to happen.

I have just received an email that made me laugh. Some poor bugger from the UK has just downloaded the NTSC version and can't play it on his domestic player (he says it's a very old player). He now wants to know if I made a PAL version!

This thing is certainly getting bigger. There is going to be an article on TMO, an interview on Mancow and a Lucasfilm employee is watching both projects this week. Arrrg!

As i didn't make an official release post. Here is my spanning spine set for Deleted Magic, Building Empire and Returnng to Jedi (the darkened band saying IMANDIX COVER TEST in the previews does not feature on the covers and is just a feature of the rendering software i used for the previews).

Anyone else have a problem burning just the iso of the ntsc conversion?

Ok, ended up having to extract the dvd files out of the iso to burn it. Am I missing any content this way? The little bit of this film I've watched so far is amazing!!

No. The idea behind ISO files is to wrap all the content together so you don't leave anything out when burning. The drawback for torrenting is, you have to retain the original ISO in order to seed.
