Don't be ridiculous, C3PX. Vaati is a Minish/Picori.
The Star Wars references probably come from the fact that the "Light Force" referenced througout the game was just called the "Force" in the original Japanese. And Link lives with his grandfather in Minish Cap. The only game where he lives with his uncle is A Link to the Past.*
*That's the version I played; if you're using the PAL version it might be different.

I live in NTSC land too. I just didn't pay that much attention. As soon as I read you post I realized you were right. The point is that he doesn't live with his parents (Links seem to have a long history of being orphaned). I was just saying the thing about Vaati being his father because all the other SW references. I still think it is extremely lame and that they should come up with their own lines. Chaltab, you have played this then, are the Oracles any harder than this? Minish Cap really feels like it was aiming at the preteen level. Who I guess are what a lot of the Gameboy stuff seems to be aimed at any more. I am heading toward the fourth dungeon and so far it has all be laughably simple for a Zelda game.
