OLD POST

Hypothetically, if someone wasn’t able to access their hd where their edit of episode I and III was sitting because it’s on another computer which is sitting in limbo due to troubles with the motherboard and they’re borrowing a friend’s computer that has a bunch of space and they were bored so they just kinda plopped Spiderman 2 onto a timeline and selected the “cutting” tool and they have one more day with the thing before it goes back on Sunday and they kinda went through it for fun and suddenly asked you “what little things might you like to see “disappear” from SP2 (other than the countless bugs…haha joke on XP service pack 2)”…what might you say to them?

Okay, just finished it. No seriously, actually finished it.

DISC
-stereo pcm mix
-cool dvd menu
-uncool dvd submenus (explain later)

CHANGES (more or less)
-new title (Spectacular Spiderman) cause I saw the thread on Spence’s Amazing Spiderman, and was like…what would a sequel to that be called? So I took a parellel Spiderman comic. You could call Spiderman 3 ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN! Huh?
-lame-ass music montage in the middle (has been extended! ah jk!)
-groaner dialogue
-asian lady singing the two versions of the spiderman theme gone
-wedding is moved to after we first see Mary Jane’s second thoughts about marriage, so there’s much more tension in the coffee shop when she’s putting her heart out there for Peter (very cool), i did this cause i wanted the wedding scene in the movie, while at the same time having a darker denoument after Spiderman defeats Doc Ock.
-took out the new yorkers coming to spidey’s aid (“you’ll have to go through me!”) cause though behavior such as this we all know is very typical of new yorkers (just watch the Borat movie), it came out all kinda cheesy.
-intelligence is not a privilage all throughout the movie now, Ock doesn’t contradict himself at the end.

new runtime: from 127 minutes down to 112

Anyway, seriously the project is done! PM me if u want a copy. I got a whole trading wishlist and finally have something to trade!

This is off topic but appropriate enough a thread:

Has anyone noticed the GLARING inconsistency in Doc Ock's first and last scenes?

At first he tells Peter: "Intelligence is not a privelage, it's a gift."

Then at the end when Peter is reasoning with him:
Peter: "You once told me intelligence was a gift, to be used for the benefit of mankind."
Doc Ock: "Yes, a privelage!"

I guess no one proofread the script enough to pick up on that.

Paul-

I ran/still running a PIF on Spence's Amazing, so I'd love a copy of your Spectacular.

Do you have Amazing? If not, I'll bounce you off a copy. Email me and we'll talk about it.

I caught it, and chalked it up as Otto being hazy with his memory. I mean he wasn't exactly in his right mind.

I thought "Web Of Spider-Man" would be far more appropriate given what happens actually

Oh, I can't lie to myself anymore, its not as perfect as I said it was, though the main dvd menu is like...God incarnate...the dvd submenus are atrocious (the buttons overlap or something), plus my planned 5.1 mix really turned out bad, but I know how to fix it! I think I can borrow my friend's computer again this weekend. It won't take long cause I made no mistakes with the video or anything. Then I'll start burning and mailing and all that.

Sorry for my chicanery. I was very proud, but the project got really rushed at the end, and when I finally reviewed it I hated what I saw. I'll take the weekend to fix it. Final specs will be:

DVD9 NTSC
-Anamorphic video (of course)
-5.1 mix
-Stereo pcm mix
-Animated menus

and we'll definitely talk Gonzo

Update: I finished it last weekend and tried to find a way to burn it over the week to no avail, so I'm sending a copy to Boon for uploading, plus he's been kind enough to compress the DL to a SL version. Until I get a working computer again, I can't send people any copies, just the one to Boon, I'll check to see if he's okay with distributing my mail...

DON'T FORGET THAT BOON IS IN GERMANY. ASKING HIM TO DISTRIBUTE YOUR "MAIL" WOULDN'T BE A GOOD IDEA AS IT WOULD COST HIM AN ARM AND A LEG TO SEND OUT NUMEROUS COPIES. I'M SURE THAT HE WILL UPLOAD IT TO RAPIDSHARE AND POSSIBLY MAKE A TORRENT FOR IT. IF HE DOES MAKE A TORRENT AS SOON AS I CAN DET IT DOWNLOADED I'LL SEND OUT SOME COPIES.
