Interesting. I've only ever had trouble playing one disc and that was the last 5 mins of Underworld: Evolution. That movie freezes up everytime right when Kate Beckinsale is about to kill the big bad guy. Of course, that problem may be due to Sony's weird way of making their more recent discs. I read over on videohelp.com that some Sony discs (Underworld: Evolution is one) will skip all over the disc (the DVD spec allows it, but it can cause problems) to play the movie based on the way Sony made that disc. That causes problems with some DVD players. It was done to keep people from making copies of the disc. Unfortunately for Sony, the program they were trying to defeat was updated two days later to get around the problem.

And they wonder why people aren't buying movies much anymore.
