I agree. Why in hell weren't pass interference calls reviewable in the first place?

Also, to me one thing the touchdown call on wheither or not the ball had crossed plane indicates to me is that the wording to replay rule needs to change. Think about it because of the wording of the replay rule (needing clear and inconvertable evidence to overturn the call the field), replay was cancelled out. That play was not decided by replay, but was decided by the original call on the field. As Coov pointed out, if the call on the field had been no touchdown, replay would not have been able to overturn that as well. I think the replay rule should be worded so that the ref makes his final ruling based on the preponderance of all the evidence together(replay, his own eyes, and the eyes of the other officals). Just because the replay isn't crystal clear doesn't mean it should be thrown out entirely.

I think if they did that, we'd be crying for more blood than we already are. It would be left more up to what a ref THINKS he saw than what the replay shows or doesn't show. Officials already get together (usually) and decide what to call before they announce it.

But right now unless the replay is 100% crystal clear, the call is totally left up to to what he thinks he saw. I think way it works now when replay is used , the orginal ruling on the field has too much weight in the final ruling. It also creates a delemma with "down by contact" rulings. If the ref rules that the player was down by contact(on the field), replay can't be used. But if the ref rules(on the field) that the player wasn't down by contact, the only way the final ruling can be changed to down by contact is if the replay crystal clearly shows that player was down by contact. So the only way a ref can get to look at the replay in "down by contact" situations is if he puts himself in a position where most of time he will be forced to rule(in the final ruling) that the player was not down by contact.

Well, Dallas has signed ME.O. Dallas is the perfect place for that arrogant spoiled brat. The countdown to the Dallas at Eagles game begins, I assure you we will give him a 'warm" welcome back to Philly . . . . .

. . . . . We're gonna kick their a**es!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see ME.O. wear an Eagles jersey on the plane ride home to Dallas after the Eagles destroy them!

NFL is doing its High School Coach Summit again. Any of you who like your local HS coach should put in a nomination to get them a free ride to Hall Of Fame weekend.

whatever happened to talking football(American) here?

This season is very a difficult one for me.   I was a big Eagles fan, but then they signed that dog torturer and murderer Micheal Vick.   I have had dogs all my life.   They are part of my family.   When they have died, I've mourned over them.   What Vick did sickens me and I cant cheer on the Eagles while he is on the team.   what do think?  Am I overreacting?   Should he be forgiven?    Also please talk about other things going on in the NFL.

The Bears won on Sunday!

Of course, it was against the Lions ... but we did pretty good against the Seahawks last week, at least in the last quarter.

yeah, a win against the Lions doesn't say much.   I bet some highschool teams could beat the Lions.

 (Edited)

I have an excuse - I live in Chicago.  :-)

--edit--

For some reason when I first read your comment I saw it as being sarcastic, then replied.  Then after I replied, I read it again and thought it quite possible that I was wrong and that you were just glad to meet another Bears fan on the forums.

Sorry for misconstruing what you said (either way, I got it wrong at one point).

No sarcasm intended.  Lived in Chicago many moons ago.  Lifelong fan of the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks (in that order).  Can't stand the Sox.

The Dallas Cowboys will rule the NFL all over again once that idiot Tony Romo gets benched or traded to another team . Also would anyone like Roy Williams ?, Detroit he's yours if you want him back!!!.

oh great, another cowboys fan.     Murry,  if Romo gets benched, who will be your QB?

Author

yeah they do have Vick.  But he is not the back up.   Kevin Kolb is Mcnabb's backup.   He did pretty well against the Chiefs.   Is Kitna any good?   I'm not sure I've even heard of him?   How much has he played in the NFL?

The way i feel about Romo , i would bring back  Drew Bledsoe .How can he justify earning 65+million and then refuse to play because his pinky was broke ? Jerry Jones should have kept T.O. and traded Romo . The guy just cant cut it as qb for the Cowboys , even Troy  Aikman  and Roger Staubach both said Romo isnt taking the job seriously.

Who can forget about December 28th 2008 ?  I blame Romo.

T.O. is a selfish brat.   As for Romo,  I don't think he's that good either,  I just don't know whether this Kitna is any good.
