He faces a lot of enemies and bosses first seen in A Link to the Past including, most importantly of all, Shadow Agahnim, whose real counterpart only appears in A Link to the Past. One could argue this is a prophetic type of dream, but it makes more sense to me that it would be revived in his nightmares.
