I've recently heard some far right political commentators (almost as annoying as far left political commentators, now that I think about it), and they're spreading unnecessary fear, talking about how the UN may consider levying taxes against its members, including the United States (being a US citizen, that's the one that concerns me). While I seriously doubt these claims (unless things are WAY WAY WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY worse than I think they are), let's pretend, for the sake of a good debate, that the issue is genuine. Would you support such action?

As if you couldn't tell, my answer is a resounding NO. I believe the countries of the world should cooperate with the UN, but not be subject to it. Sorry, John Lennon, but "Imagining" what could eventually become a world government is not my cup of tea.
