It means "I don't know a damn thing about politics, and I don't care."

Some of us don't feel it necessary to pick the prettier of the two piles of shit. Both Democrat and Republican politicians are members of an aristocratic class of Americans whose primary function is to STEAL money from Americans who are not members of their social class. One third of my life will be lived in the servitude of this class of aristocrats (see paycheck). If I choose to refuse this requirement of servitude, I will be thrown in prison. Any American who is not a member of this aristocratic class, but swears allegiance to it, is either very young or very foolish. Our government is a wildly out of control bureaucracy which long ago abandoned our Constitution and Declaration of Independence. If anything, an independent is more likely to know more, and care more about politics.
