I chose Wii, and am currently playing Elebits, which is pretty cool.

Slip a condom over the remote. When you search 4chan as much as I do you see a few things.

I love my 360, I may eventually get a PS3, maybe. But I'm leaning more into getting a Wii, they do look fun and add that interesting spin of physical interaction. I think the PS3 will lose this war. Wii may come out on top due to price and the fun factor, but most folks who want a decent powered high graphics machine, I think they will opt for a cheaepr 360 which as a year long jump on the industry anyways.

Doctors remove from people's anuses the most bizarre objects... So when I saw the Wiimote, I kind of thought "how long will it take until someone goes into the emergency room with one of those stuck up their ass?"

Hmm... I'm surprised Wii Fetish dot com hasn't been made yet.

Its a good thing that Nintendo can at least block games of an um... 'adult' nature from coming out on the Wii. Yikes...

Heh, that was hilarious. But, anyway, now having owned a Wii, I'm becoming more and more convinced that it's the system to have this generation. Only time will tell, I suppose.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Don't ask they have already made it.

Well although I don't own a PS3 I have had a Wii since the launch date and I seriously doubt PS3 can compare...plus I can't see it being worth the $600 they're asking for. Either way, I think the Wii would still win regardless of price, the only thing that can save the PS3 is fanboys (which there are plenty of) or the use of the true power of BluRays which won't be unleashed for a few more years and the PS3 might end up just a dream by then.

and btw, 360=Dreamcast

The more I hear about the Wii, the more impressive I find it. I never really expected Nintendo to win any console races again. The GameCube was pretty weak in comparison to the others, and even the specs on the Wii are less than impressive. But Nintendo might just be on the right track this time. So, does the PS3 have a new controller design? Or are they going to stick to the same old style? Anytime I mention my doubt about the PS3 I get my head bitten off by somebody. But I really havent heard anything exeptional about it as of yet. Only "sweet graphics!" "High Definition!" "Blue-ray compatible!" Being as that all I own is a 13 inch TV and my favorite games are usually played through a SNES emulator and the fact that I don't really care who wins the HD-DVD/Blue-ray thing, none of those things matter to me at all. Of course I have never been drawn to any of the PS units.

I have yet to see a PS3 controller, because every time I see a PS3 set up in a game store, they're just using PS2 controllers. What gives?

So I take it that they are the same controllers. If the PS2 controller can plug into the PS3, then this means it has the exact same connector slots, which doesn't leave much possibility for for a significantly different controller.

The only difference is that the PS3 controllers have this tilt sensitive mechanism inside. Tilt left, down, up and right-which makes for a semi-different game experience.

I believe the PS3 controllers are only offered as wireless. A store couldn't simply leave them out or they'd be stolen. Since the system has compatibility to use PS2 controllers, they put those out so people can play.

A few places have Wiis you can play on, but as I understand it, controllers are held behind the employee desk and to use one you have to give them your driver's licence or a credit card to ensure you bring the controller back. A coworker was telling me about his first experience playing one.

I GOT A WII!

Finally.

Not online yet, I'll try that later this week.

The PS3 controller looks just like a Dual Shock 2 with a Playstation Logo button in the center (like the X-Box 360 Controller has the X-Box logo button)...

My local Wal-Mart has a PS3 display with the Sixaxis secured just like a wired controller would be.

"The Wii sold 4 million units already?"

According to VG Charts, the Wii has now sold 4 million units worldwide. Nintendo had set the goal of selling 4 million by the end of 2006, and very well may have hit that target (sales data takes a number of days to compile). Many analysts are predicting that Nintendo will exceed their next projection of 6 million by March 2007.

Meanwhile, the Wii continues to be sold out at nearly all retail locations, as iTrackr.com has the Wii’s National Availability at only 2%. This is in stark contrast to the PS3’s National Availability of 75%. It seems Nintendo’s biggest problem these days is production as even the DS Lite, Wii Remote, and Wii Nunchuk are almost impossible to find (National Availability of 4%, 14%, and 10% respectively).

The Will is unique and different. The main issue I see with the Wii is will the controller scheme work for many different games and not get old or annoying. I'm not sure how the controls would work for something such as Madden NFL, but we'll see.

The PS3 has its own unique issues. Fanboyism aside, its expensive in comparison to the Xbox 360 and Wii. I think that it will be unaffordable to many, and others will decide it isn't worth it and just buy a Xbox360. As for the Blu-Ray player included, even if this format is a big success, at this time most people don't have HDTVs and can't enjoy it anyway. Sony doesn't have time to wait for this to change before the PS3 is written off as a failure. PS3s are still very few in number, but can be found in stores today. There are many more Wiis, and they are very scarce in stores. The other problem is that the PS3 currently doesn't have any decent exclusives out for it. Most of the games are also availabe on other systems.

Basically, Nintendo stole Sony's thunder on the PS3 launch. Sony started with all the attention, no one expected much from Nintendo to start with, but the Wii ended up outshining the PS3.

My brother says that the Madden Wii controls will be "awesome" once he gets used to them. (He's played using the old controls till his fingers turned blue, so he's having trouble adapting.)

I have Wii's Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz (by SEGA), and on the first two days I've played, all I could say is "This game sucks! I can't control this damn thing!", but then suddenly, when I got used to it, the game became so much fun... So the Wii is like a major step towards something new, it does take a while to get used to.
