The problem with the removal of Saddam is:
- Basically Iran can do what it wants now in the middle east, especially if they have a nuclear capabilty soon. Saddam was the buffer. The balance is now completely gone (if there was any).
- A long time ago Saddam was your best buddy in your struggle against muslim fundametalists. Under saddam (before the first gulf war) they had absolutely no chance. Saddam wiped them out.
- I think it takes a dictator to stop the Iraqis from starting a civil war. Those 3 populations cannot coexist in the same country. It's better to devide it into 3 parts I think.
- The war has proven Saddam did not have the capability to be a threat to the west. For the time being, that was.

Iran will have to be delt with. If they continue to try to build an atomic bomb Israel will bomb the factories if no one else does somthing. And then we could have an even bigger problem.

I agree with all points----about Saddam and Iran, Now its time for the rest of the world to step up and control the maniac, not let Saddam deal with it--which is better? two maniacs or one? I see the balance, but how about when Europe steps up (it seems their taking baby steps) to control and stop Iran, and on top of that---North Korea!

The problem is that Europe is to devided. The US is also devided but you have a central government and something will happen, no matter what. I'm still ASHAMED the US had to do a lot of the dirty work in the Balkan war (the third one I mean, in the 1990s). That's in fucking Europe, we couldn't even clean up our own mess.

Yeah..I was watching DW-TV (T.V. Direct from Berlin--Deutchs Welles) and theres so much talk about the E.U. ,regulations, its all one big mess over there! Theres no reason for the EU, we already have the U.N....I think the only cool thing about the E.U. is that their in Battlefield 2142 figting the Pan Asian Alliance--lol-----But its such a mess there! So many tariffs and taxes---I feel bad for them!! The only havens there would probobly be Germany, Brittan and Italy! Other than anything else!

Listen to this----Muslim cab drivers don't let people with closed wine bottles into their cabs. They call it a travesty against religion. They also won't bring small dogs or any sort of alcohol. I lived in Europe for a few years, the E.U. is very upsetting. I feel bad for all those little countries selling out to get in. It makes travel and visas easy and it has a few other upsides, but for the most part it is very frightening. Anyway, it is a completely different thing than the U.N. The E.U. is more like Europe's version of the United States. Opening boarders and uniting with one currency. Travel in Europe used to be more of a pain because of currency conversion and entering a new country every few kilometer. Even though half of the letters are the same in the two, they really do serve two different purposes.

I see....Well I wonder whats gonna happen with them---DW is a pretty conservative (for Germany) news channel, and its very, very interesting--only downside is that its carried here in the Bay Area by a local channel, and they turn to Russian Socialist T.V. in English when DW goes off English and reverts to Deutsch. On that topic, Shortwave radio is one of the coolest things around---Its fun listening to radio from all over the world, from huge propoganda machines like Beijing International and Radio Cuba, to German and British News.

Oh, right the topic. Uh.. so yeah, how about them cows? Think we can genetically engineer them not to release harmful gases? Doing away with the SUVs is one thing, in thirty years you might be able to phase all of those out if the car companies can be convinced to stop making them; but Americans sure love their livestock.

What if we were to accumulate the majority of earth's water, load it up into a massive spaceship and take it to the sun and spray it with it. Would that douse the sun just enough to cool it down for a few years? That might be the answer to our problem. I am going to go an call NASA real quick and give them my suggestion.
