Local L.A. newscast mentioned it, but didn't actually show it being worked on in spite of the teaser implying they would. Arrgh!
Anyway set your recording devices for New Years! And if anyone in Pasadena can take photos of the float during the parade, or in the public display in the days after the parade, please do so.

WOW...I wonder if its just gonna be a gigantic floating dvd case with the words "STAR WARS-THE ORIGINAL TrILOGY-SPECIAL EDITION" Written on them.....
But on a serious note, hopefully its vader or somthing. The Death Star would be cool.

ET ran an interview with Lucas tonight. Besides mentioning that Indy 4 is supposed to start shooting this summer, there was a glimpse of the still incomplete float and an Episode One Amidala costume. (There had better be some OT love in there!) But there was also a lot of 501st members practicing their march! Going to be a lot of Imperials in Pasadena next week!

I heard there were going to be three floats, but I have only seen pics of two. They are worked on by volounteers, and maybe they will let you go see them before the parade.

Maybe you have read the news on TFN or starwars.com, there are 200 members of the 501st Legion there and a smaller number of Jedi and Rebel costumers. LFL has flewn them in from all over the world. Six of them are people I know from the Nordic Garrison. They even got to meet GL himself at a dinner yesterday(?). ... Lucky Bastards ...

Oh My ....I don't know about the rest of you guys but I just saw the "Star Wars" marching Band, Darth Vader, and the Storm Trooper Volunteers......to me the whole thing came off very bad. It looked and sounded bad...a bad joke actually....The Strom Troopers looked like a bunch of keystone cops, clumsily making their way down Colorado blvd.....

I was not impressed.

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

My favorite part was when the announcer saw a golden droid and called it R2 then saw a trashcan and called it 3po.

They should have had something more iconic, like a Millennium Falcon float. Remember the year a gigantic Enterprise D was in the parade? People were amazed when that came down the street. My Mom didn't even recognize the Naboo float.
The Travel Channel is rebroadcasting KTLA's pre-parade show. They interviewed Chewie!

Approximately when during the broadcast did they interview Chewie? They are repeating the whole event several times tonight, i would like to see that.

It was a separate two hour show during parade preparations early this morning. Unless someone recorded it off KTLA or Travel Channel today, we're out of luck. There don't seem to be any repeats other than the parade itself today.

And GL himself was at center field with some Michigan alum to perform the ceremonial coin toss before the Rose Bowl game. USC won the toss, so no doubt the force was with them.

Rebelscum has posted some parade photos. Someone was asleep at the wheel when they decided to put Chewie and most of the other OT characters on the side of the float the tv cameras don't see!
And Bob Eubanks will be lucky if some troopers don't TP his house after that "get a job" wisecrack!

Saw it on Travel Channel and IMO it was way too short! it was funny seeing Mr Lucas talking to the "Rocket Man".
I wonder if he was asking him if he would like to be Fett in the TV Show he's working on. hehe
to bad no OT Characters will be in the Program.
