Hello. I was hoping that someone here with the capability to get screen captures would be kind enough to grab a handfull of shots of Jabba's hookah (the water pipe he is smoking when R2 and C3PO enter the palace) in ROTJ. I am thinking about trying to make a prop replica of it.
If not, perhaps someone could suggest a freeware program to download so I can do it myself?
Use VLC (look it up on download.com) media player-You can watch DVD's and take screen captures of anything-It's the most versitale player anywhere--It WILL PLAY ANYTHING!
No prob------the VLC player is one of the greatest peices of software ever developed in my opinion---also, you get the bonus of being able to play almost every file format, along with the price of $0.00!
I used to love VLC player then suddenly it started giving my problems. It'll play a video for 5 minutes then it pause for a second then the sound will start but the video stays frozen.
When I try playing FLAC audio on it it skips a lot in the beginning and cuts out a few minutes into any song i play. It didn't use to do that stuff and i haven't been changing hardware and have been keeping my PC in good shape virus/spyware etc wise. No other player has these problems.
Yes, i tried re-installing but to no good. If anyone has advice i'd love to be able to go back to using it again....even the Media Player Classic does a fine job.
Have you tried downloading the latest version of VLC? Also, would you happen to have poper or adaquite codecs? (VLC does not come with al of them, or VLC might be trying to apply older, or diffrent variations on the codec that the audio your listening to uses)
I have never found any one prgram to suit my media playing needs. I love VLC, but I also use windows media player classic. My only complaint about VLC is its slowness to pause. On my system it always pauses a few frames late, which makes it harder to take screen grabs.
Ha ha when I first read the title of this thread "Jabba's Hookah" I thought you were talking about his dancing girls or slave Leia or something. If you say "Jabba's Hookah" out load, it really sounds like Jabba's Hooker.
