I think a big contributor to global warming is George Lucas’s fat ass leaking greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Another contributer is all of Lucas’s brown nosers star wars fans that rush out to their shoppin center everytime lucas’s realeses his latest shit sandwich.

1. If you want to post off-topic, there's another board for it. This is not the place to discuss off topic.

2. Global Warming is bullshit. It was hotter (global average) a hundred years ago then it is now. Yeah, it ain't healthy to put all that carbon dioxide in the air, but it'll take decades and decades to get bad enough to cause clataclysmic events. Global Warming is a huge publicity stunt, nothing more.

3. How many freaking threads have you made in the past hour? Jeez man...And who exactly is it that's "Back?"

2. Global warming is not bullshit. Haven't you heard about the polar ice caps melting. What about all our awkward weather we've had? Our winters where I live have been warmer every year than the predessing year. We used to get much more snow. We emit an estimate of 3 trillion metric tons of greenhouse gases per year plus we're constantly deforesting the most important lungs of our eath: the rainforest.

3. "He's back" is just a terminator cliche thing that I thought was cool.

I know you're probably getting the "global warming is bullshit news" from people who are getting paid by oil companies and the bush administration to say that, but it is a serious problem and I don't like it either because we'll have to change our budget and lifestyle but what are ya gonna do?

If you hear global warming from any valid source you will hear it's a serious problem. Yeah a 0.8 F global increase in the past 100 years doesn't sound like a lot but it is and it is kinda like gaining weight. As a kid you might not notice it, but it catches up with you eventually and that time is now. Plus now we're expending energy as gases like never before!!! If you don't care about the polar bears that's fine but the rest of the world is still going to get f'ed up so use your head instead of your ego, smart one.

I don't know what leads you to believe nobody will see it if it was posted in off topic. The fact is in off topic it would be seen by plenty of people. Off topic is often more lively than the Genral SW discussion, and it draws more people who are interested in discussing topics of this nature. There is no reason to post things in their wrong catagory just because you are too lazy to click into a seperate section. Unless you want to talk about deforestation on Kashyyk (sp?) this is completely the wrong form.

This is pretty stupid--besides my views on global warming--after this little stint, Mr.10 post, no one is going to take you seriously on this fourm. This is pretty ridiculous. Even my 14 year old pee-brain knows it.
On the topic of bullshit, and global warming in general (which are related Not ALL scientists say that this is endue part because of human kind....WE ARE a contributor to the problem, but we are not THE CAUSE.
Unlike the theroy of global warming (and I use the word THEROY for a reason---) it has absolutly no scinetific basis or fact-----unlike the opposite side, which HAS ALOT of evidence on planatary cycles and are 99.9 percent certin the this has happnened before--
Beleive me, I dont like tearing down rainforests--and killing the fish in the ocean---but these are miniscule and do not effect the overall planets well being.
Read up before you say something stupid. And, on a more general note, post in the right fourm dumb-ass.

If you will take the few steps to research the history of our world, then you will find that the earth cools down and heats up constantly and has for several million years. It is natural and the "Global Warming issue" is a stupid liberal conspiracy to once again blame Republicans for Mother Earth's actions.

I agree with my quite intelligent peers, Darth Evil and WESHALLPRESERVE, it is B.S.!!!!!

*sigh* I swear I've had enough of discussing this...

Global warming....of course it's happening. I mean, it's 70 degrees right now in Alabama on January 1st. I think it's obvious that it's happening. My beef is that I don't think humans have nearly as much to do with the whole thing as we think we do. I mean, this planet has been going through climate changes for billions of years, and for us to think that we could have such a drastic effect on it is awfully arrogant, if you ask me. Does that mean I'm opposed to alternative fuel sources? Of course not. It doesn't take a genius to notice the huge layer of smog floating over L.A. and say "Oh, we oughta do something about this." But this whole global warming thing...

It's all bollocks, if you ask me.

Oh, and I love how if anybody speaks up against this bull, then they're "being paid off by the oil compaines or the Bush administration." It couldn't be possible that they decided to think for themselves?! Whose being the blind follower, the one who disagrees with the public opinion, or the one who believes everything the media/Al Gore shoves down their throat? I smell a bit of hypocrisy here.

I can't believe a lot of you don't think humans are a big part of the problem. The temperature and rainfall records were broken again and again the last few years. Of course the climate changed big time in the hisory of the earth but not nearly with the enormous speed that it is doing now. We are already halfway through the winter were I live and the temperature hasn't even been below zero yet which is very unusuall. In my garden there were flowers growing last month that only grow in april and may normally.
We push carbon dioxide into the air every year that took the earth millions of years to absorb. Ofcourse we influence the climate, a lot.

Earth has been heating up and cooling down for billions of years now. We may help whichever cycle is occurring along, but there is no way we could ever manipulate it in order to heat up or cool down at our will.

Billions of years have passed before we were finally able to began recording the weather daily and keeping it where we could access and utilize that information.

We are in a WARMING TREAND and we will probably be ride on sleighs in a few years when that COOLING TREAD kicks in.

Global warming is the enviromentalists excuse to get us to stop drilling for oil. What they don't explian is that for every tree that is cut down two have to be planted in its place. After a sight has been drilled the government immediatly begins to replant the area. Also, drilling for oil helps the the forests because we cut down the dead and rotting trees and plant new ones, once we are finished.

Oh my god! It's unbelievable everybody thinks global warming is a conspiracy theory designed by evironmentalists.
Drilling for oil helps a forrest? You have got to be kidding me! For your information, a healthy forrest cannot exist without dead and rotting trees. Besides it takes decades if not centuries for forrests and their ecosystem to recover.

Listen Arnie I don't have a problem with you, and never have. However, it is because of enviromentalist that we can't drill in Alaska, and are dependent on countries such as Saudi Arabia. America has the means to be self-effiecient, but we choose not to be because some stupid forest or animal that is going to die out any ways is standing in are way. Also, while enviromentalist are fussing about some stupid herd of elk or owl in Alaska becoming extinct they are forgetting about the animals that loose homes every day do too humans building buildings and roads. Why don't enviromentalist push harder for less expansion, because they don't care about the animals they just care about their agenda and pushing it on society. Once again Arnie I don't have a problem with you or your ideas so please don't get mad when I state my oppinion.

I would like to interject that human beings are like locusts. They consume until there isn't anything left and then they move on to the next thing. This happens all across the board where humans are concerned.

So with that in mind, I say let's use up the Earth and throw it away. When we find ourselves completely fucked cuz we screwed our planet and can't escape it yet, then MAYBE humanity will learns its lesson and treat our planet accordingly. Sadly, it will be too late. Humans on learn to behave when they're slapped good upside the head. We need a good natural disaster to wipe out a few billion people and wake us the fuck up about our responsiblities.

Rant over. Not really on the subject, but I felt it was an opinion worth sharing.
