Various issues with Nero Vision 4 (such as importing clips)

Hey guys, a clear first-time editor here. Just generally wondering how does one get DVD .vob files from a copy-protected DVD onto a computer, (hence, it being copy-protected, I'm unable to do so), then hence, onto a timeline on an editing suite? (I've recently aquired Nero Vision 4). Apologises if the answers to these are painfully simple.

Use DVD Shrink to rip the Dvd to your computer, (make sure you have adiquite space--atleast 4-8 gigs-then use a program of your choice to convert it, or sometimes the editting programs have built in support for VOB files.

Is DVD Shrink a program on the editing system itself? Or is something I have to download/purchase?
