I've used PowerDVD, CyberDVD, Interactual and I always end up coming back to WinDVD. The CyberDVD program (I think that was the name) was a good player, but the sound skipped. Interactual gives you too little control. WinDVD plays well, gives you a lot of control and the feature I used most is the screen capture.
