Text In Womble

At this early stage of my editing career, I use Womble. It's simple, yes, but it's also very user friendly. However, if and when I want to use create text, I was wondering if there was a way for it not to look so...unprofessional. Those of you familar with Womble will understand what I mean. So, anyone have any advice they could give me?
