I thought your favorite was Luke Skywalker.

Anyways, mine is C-3P0.

Isn't this thread in the Off-Topic section as well?

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I'm just gonna have to go with Boba Fett. Someone has too.

It's mainly cuz I read and loved the 3 books basically just about him back in middle school (names escape me) He was just such an enigmatic character and the prominent bounty hunter in the series and since I'd exhausted learning about all the bigger characters at that point, he seemed next.

Hey look, a bear!

IG-88, because of all the charisma he exudes.

Darth Vader from SW is my number two, methinks. Darth Vader from the other two films is lower on my list, though still fricking awesome.

My all time favorite is Han Solo, the coolest smuggler in the galaxy.

Bit part-Wedge

Have to throw in my favorite underused villan in the PT, Count Dooku.

Wedge hardly falls into the category of "bit part." Lobot, by comparison, would be considered a bit part.

Sorry, I interpreted 'bit part' as in not a major character, like Luke, Han, Leia, etc... By this interpretation, I'd have to go with either Porkins or the mouse droids. Do they count?

Wedge all the way. Fett's a close second.

Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here, this is the war room!

Yeah! Bizarre, no?

Anyhoo, as I posted in that self-same Off-Topic thread (since duplication seems to be the name of the game here), my favourite has got to be Captain Han Solo!

Luke Skywalker is my favorite character from the films.

Mara Jade in the original Zahn trilogy is my favorite EU character.

as for villains I like Vader and Fett from the oot. forget the prequels they turned fett and vader into wimps and took out the mystery of their backstories.

the fact that they redubbed fett in the 2004 edit of empire was enough to make me want to throw the frigggin dvd in the trash.

Empire made Han Solo into a great character and jedi pretty much went ahead and ruined that.

His cynicism and world wearyness make him a believable character , and more identifiable to me now. I identified more with Luke as a child and a young teenager.

CHEWIE DIED

In TRUE Starwars fashion, a moon fell on him.

favorite character from the PT, definatly palpatine, if you read the books, man that guy is a beast, and they way he managed to take over the republic.

favorite overall character was jacen Solo but they are killing his character now, so ill have to go with Anakin Solo, who they already killed

favorite character from the OT, i would have to say luke.

favorite character from the NJO Nom Anor, he jsut needs to get a mention, this guy almost did what pali did with out the use of the force.

I think the off-topic thread is character in general, not Star Wars related. This thread is ONLY Star Wars characters, at least that's what I think the intention is.

Obiwan

He's wise, clever, kind, and a ghost, who ya gonna call? Really he's been my fav character mostly because of how cool he was as this gentle old wizard, a relic from a more civilized age we could only dream about until some guy came along in 1999 and made some silly movies full of fart jokes that totally butchered those dreams...

ahem, yeah obi-wan's my fav.
He big in nothing important in good elephant.

I totally agree how badly the movies were done, but I do believe that putting Ewen McGregor in as Obi Wan was a good move. I think Ewen did a great job with the character, given what, and who, he had to work with (Christensen!!). It was just Luca$h's execution of it that kind of dimmed the great performance that Ewen aimed for.

But in the end, nobody will ever do it as well as Sir Alec Guiness, may be rest in peace.

I couldn't agree more. Ewan is an incredibly gifted actor who deserves the most credit for somehow someway doing his character justice like I felt no other major actor did in those movies besides Liam Neeson. He did a comendable job even Sir Alec Guiness would likely be proud of despite the rest being...err... off.

What's interesting is that he's the real life nephew of the actor who played Biggs, (oops, I mean WEDGE) in the OT. Must be something in the blood perhaps or maybe he got some tips for how to deal with george, I don't know...
