I must say that the USA is unlucky not having widespread support for PAL in DVD players and TVs. I know the pros/cons of NTSC and PAL - but at least here in Australia basically all TVs and DVD players can do both NTSC and PAL.

Exactly.
In the US, most players won't play PAL discs...or play them incorrectly.

I downloaded it last night. VERY fast.

I downloaded it almost right away, and have been seeding it since. I haven't had the chance to burn it yet, though, but hopefully I'll be able to watch it soon.

Quick question -- I had thought that you had said that it was going to be a dual-layer release, but from the filesize, it looks like you went with single-layer. Which is fine with me, because I had had voted for single-layer on your blog, but what made you reconsider? And are you going to continue with the single-layer releases?

The question about Dual Layer discs was in relation to the original Making Of documentaries, not the Omnibus programmes. The Ominbus' were always going to be single layer as the size of the files is smaller than a single layer disc.

Gotcha. But that means, then, that you ended up deciding to do the "Making Of" documentaries as dual-layers, right? Or are you still considering doing them as single-layer releases, provided that you can find enough bonus material?

IF I find enough bonus materials then they will be single layer releases. If NOT they'll be dual layer. ALSO, my disc of the coverage of the UK premiere of Revenge Of The Sith WILL be dual layer. It will include all of the news coverage i have, the E4 special, and possibly Generation Jedi (space permitting).

BH011 is yet another fine release. Thanks Babyhum and to everyone involved.

bh011 continues in the great tradition. I really got a kick out of seeing Williard Huyck and Gloria Katz for the first time. Seeing these highly influential but peripheral people is fascinating. They really have a different take on things. Anyone know where else they have been interviewed? (media or print?)

Well, the most obvious place to look would be the American Grafitti and Indiana Jones DVDs for video interviews. Apparently, Willard Huyck was also interviewed for the THX 1138 documentaries as well. Not sure about print interviews though.

I hope you all enjoy bh012 when Metallaxis has enough time to release it onto Myspleen.

Thanks for doing the Omnibus doco Babyhum. I've had it on VHS since the night it aired and have been dying to get it on DVD since. Thanks again for all your efforts in getting these great releases out.

EDIT: Never mind.

There are some updates regarding new releases over at the blog. I'm also toying with the idea of posting bh012 myself over at alt.binaries.starwars.

Will bh012 still be posted on MySpleen if this is the case? (I'm still trying to figure out how newsgroups work . . .)

Metallaxis has the torrent copy. When he has the time i'm sure he'll put it up at Myspleen.
