I only want to seperate the film from the Connery-Moore entries, since with the new CR and all, I like to believe that the Daltona and Brosnan entries are a seperate universe to the Connery/Moore (Moore can still, somewhat, convince me he's the same Bond with Connery), with OHMSS a common link to both - it happened in both universes, that is.

I like it. Its far more feasible to think of that scenario (that the Connery-Lazenby-Moore films are one era, the Dalton-Brosnan another, and Craig now yet another one), then thinking how TLD could ever follow AVTAK. I like the fact that Dalton and Brosnan in their films brought a more introspective look in the character. Their movies felt more Fleming (even with the, at times, unnecessary action) than the Fleming-based titles of the movies Moore stared in. So I like it as an idea. Now all you need is a film that preludes that Bond, I guess.

I just had a fantastic idea - why not re-edit OHMSS as a prequel to the Dalton-Brosnan entries? I understand that Bond in that film is at his best and most experienced, and the re-edit shouldn't try that - but with a clever re-edit, you can allude that Bond's been doing it for a while and been tired of it. It'd be a nice parallel to CR, where Bond also had intentions to leave.

Hear this: Cut out any references to the Connery films, and if possible, to SPECTRE - with loop, it could be any other organization. And at the end, you could create a whole new ending on which Blofeld is killed.

I haven't figured how such an edit should be handled, but it has promise. The reason of even thinking about this is because of the obvious fact that Bond's wife is been referenced in LTK and TWINE. And slightly in TND.
