I think the PT will be so ignored that "the star wars series" will continue to remain as simply the OT, and that many future fans will hear about the films as a really good trilogy from 1977-1983 that also has some prequel films made for it that suck. That seems to be the road that things are heading. The only thing preventing them from completely going down such a route is that fact that Lucas seems very adament that the films only be viewed and, in the future, packaged and marketed as the six episode Saga--precisely because this is the only way that people would continue to view the prequels. They have to be forced.
