Wow. What a blast from the past!

Great stuff! I listened to these over and over as a kid!

(I’ve advised the guy who made them to come over to OT.com)

Hey there! I just got your message on the Empire read along movie and took your advice so here I am! ;-)

Anyone out there who would like to check out the 'Empire Strikes Back' read along movie can check out the site on the below link:

Secret Cavern of Read Along Treasures

Besides watching the YouTube streams you can also download higher quality movie files and also MP3s of the original read along soundtrack.

Other read alongs are available with more to follow - I have several Star Wars read alongs that will make there way on-line sometime but 'Empire' is special as I had it as a kid.

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum 'fog'! Great work!

So simply done, yet so effective. I love the way you have kept the original page layout. Not having ESB on VHS until I was a teenager, this was my only way to hear the movie. I remember having a certain fondness for those voice actors, eventhough I knew they weren't the real deal.

Yeah it's great! I especially love Han and Leia, they both spill over into camp quite a bit! I think this read along really captures the essence of Empire really well.

Other Star Wars read alongs I have which could be made into movies are - The original release of Star Wars, Star Wars ABCs (which is pretty funny), Planet of the Hoojibs, Ewoks Join the Fight, Droid World and also 3 releases of the Original Trilogy that came out in the late 90s with all new actors.

Non Star Wars stuff I have include The Last Starfighter, The Black Hole, Star Trek 1 2 & 3 - when I get time I will be doing some more movies with these.

I've seen the effort that goes into the fan projects on this forum and I'm very impressed, The guy who did the Story of Star Wars DVD has taken this kind of thing to a whole new level!

I've made 'em more with the web in mind so they are quite low res at 320x240 size. The 'Empire' one was done at 640x480 and then scaled down but it lost quality and the original 640x480 file was way to big to put on the site!

fog, do you think you could post the audio files to the ABC's read-along. If you're feeling extra generous, maybe some scans of the artwork. One of my cohorts and I are looking for this particular read-along. Thanks and great job on your ESB movie's!

You can go about your business. Move along, move along.

Someone needs to make these into DVD's.

Now if we could only find someone into doing that sort of thing...

I am in the middle of a couple of DVD projects, but once I finish those I can take this on .

fog, do you think you can upload the 640x480 versions somewhere (rapidshare et al) or e-mail them to me?

This is great - a heavy dose of nostalgia!

I had the Star Wars read along as a kid - would love to see that go up on your site.

I'll sample the ABC read along today and post it later on - it's from an audio tape so distortion and crackle should be minimal - scans will have to wait till I have the time!

For the 640x480 empire i'll have to re-render it - I hope I still have all the files! Watch this space and i'll let you know when it is done.

OK guys here's the Star Wars ABC audio - The quality is OK but there is a little tape wear resulting in a little dropout - nothing too drastic. This is a straight sample, no hiss reduction - you can download either the full WAV file or a 192kbps MP3.

I'll try and get 'em done this week - is 300dpi ok for you? The cover is a bit tatty but you could always try and seek out another scan of the cover on the net.

One of these days i'll do it!! I'll be sure to post it on here whenever it is done.

By the way - I just remembered this site - check this link out for a flash movie of the Star Wars read along - it's also got another version of the Empire read along that I made the movie out of.
