Agreed!
I (being another U.S. citizen) only partially agree with this.
Maybe we could merge the topics by discussing whether the rapid expansion of technology is serving to connect the world in ways that might eliminate nationalism and its stupid conflicts? This here internet thing is a good start.

Forget some countries having a dark past hard to live down, mine (the U.S.) has a dark present we'll be lucky enough to live down in a century!

Well, I for one am not convinced that nationalism is a bad thing. However, that doesn't mean I think everyone that's not an American is stupid. Technology has brought us all closer together. 15 years ago, this exchange would've taken place on a local BBS and the spelling would have been changed, perhaps unnecessarily. Today, none of us really knows where the original poster is posting from until they tell us. Now, instead of attacking each other, we can learn from each other. Except the French of course, they'll just surrender (it's a joke people

In case anyone hasn't noticed, the Google ads have changed pretty significantly from all the talk about Germany and Nazis (I'm sure that didn't help).
